The president of the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Research Institute (JBRJ), Liszt Vieira, yesterday (June 14) signed an Agreement of Technical and Scientific Cooperation with the Royal Kew Gardens, the Botanic Garden of London, during the 4th Global Botanic Gardens Congress, which happens this week in Dublin, Ireland.
The agreement between Kew Gardens and JBRJ will allow the exchange of information and experience between the two institutions in the context of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation, which will be discussed at the next International Conference on Biodiversity, COP-10, in Nagoya (Japan) in October.
