The president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva launches today, in Brasília, the new "Portal Brasil" (www.brasil.gov.br). The initiative is a major goal in the government's drive to enhance communication and engagement with the global public.
The website is a central part of the State's efforts to provide information quickly and efficiently on a wide variety of topics relevant to foreign visitors, including: analysts, investors, private companies, media, academics, NGOs, students, tourists and web users in general.
The "Portal Brasil" will include regular updates and other relevant information on environment and related subjects.
Starting today, the website is available in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
