A co-operation agreement between Ibama and the Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iphan) will allow the donation of wood seized in the operations of Ibama for restoration work of Brazil's architectural heritage, as churches and historic sights. The announcement was made by the minister of the Environment, Carlos Minc, during a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of the Culture in Brasília.

Minc also announced that the National Film Agency (Ancine) will join the Environmental Agenda in Public Administration (A3P). The objective is to promote the best use of materials and natural resources in the workplace. The minister also said that a working group of permanent cooperation between the Ministries of Environment and Culture will soon be created.

Among the partnerships between the two ministries, Minc highlighted the film circuit "Green Screen", which presented more than 30 videos about experiences on environmental education. To the Minister of the Culture, Juca Ferreira, the environmental issue is more a matter of sensitivity and behavior, and cinema can help people change behavior.
